Thank You Carolyn King

CKRZ staff and Board Members would like to thank Carolyn King for 25 plus years of service at CKRZ. Carolyn will be leaving CKRZ as she will continue to dedicate her time to community projects. She has been a friend and staunch supporter of community radio. Carolyn has supported CKRZ since the idea of a community radio station was first presented to the community in the mid 80’s. Over the past 25 years plus, Carolyn has been involved with many projects that involved CKRZ. Such projects entailed fundraising, promotions, management, on-air broadcasting to Board membership for the radio station, and much more. Carolyn was a key member in fastening the growth of CKRZ into what the station is today.

Carolyn believed the strength of our communities and the value of our histories, written and oral, could continue to develop and grow through the support of a strong and thriving community-based radio station, known today as CKRZ 100.3 FM. Not only has Carolyn been involved in radio but also as a strong community builder, Carolyn has being involved in many community-based initiatives in Six Nations and New Credit. Carolyn will be deeply missed here at CKRZ and we wish her nothing but success as she forges ahead with community projects.
